I just applied for Jetblue Amex for the bonus points, and hoping for to make it two true passes for travel in Nov. My first statement came out yesterday, but not points showing yet. Just curious, how long does it take for the points to show up and transferred to your jetblue account? Argh, i hope they can make it there sooner...

I've seen my points transfer anywhere from the 30th of the preceeding month to the 5th of the next month, a few days later. Be patient, I think it can take up to 8 weeks or something for the bonus.

it seems like there's a one billing-cycle delay before points get posted to TrueBlue... i.e. if you spend $564 in March, and it shows up on the statement that comes in April, it won't be until the statement that comes in May that you'll see those award dollars on your statement and 400 of those 564 award dollars get converted into 2 trueblue points...

As long as the system has you down as a Amex card holder, and you either take a flight or transfer 200 award dollars, the rest of your points don't expire for another year, so you won't have to worry about them expiring.

I don't think the OP is worried about points expiring, but rather whether they'll be credited in November rather than December. I think the way to tell is from the October statement: if it has a number under "Award Dollars Earned", then the TrueBlue points for those dollars should show up when your November statement is printed.

Well, here is hoping mine sooner then the month after.

With the Delta Amex, I find the points hit my account a day or two after my statements cut. I signed up for the card Sep 16th, so I assume thats about when my statement will cut in October. If I have to wait a full 30 days after that I am going to loose 1 RT worth of points. Which would stink because I have 3 flights booked between the end of November and mid January

Yes. I am 28 points short to make it 100 points. My Sept statement was up Oct. 4, and I didn't wait until the due day and I paid immediately. The 5000 bonus award dollars showed up today (FYI, that's fast), but my remaining dollars made with purchase have not. :(

I guess I will have to wait patiently, and perhaps have a contingency plan just in case...

All you need to do is call the TF # on the back of your card and they will see what's up.....they are VERY helpful and often manually transfer the points over while on the phone with them.

I concur... they're so helpful that once I ended up at 99 points after the transfer and the lady gave me an extra point so I could get an award flight!

talk about cool people... thats about $200 value, or $100 restaurant value, or 1/4th of a short haul flight booked online, or 1/2 of a short haul flight booked on the phone. well you get the picture...

Are you serious!? My TB account actually has 99 points in it right now...flights and AmEx combined, so I guess I will see if they can do the same for me!

Still no points, called yesterday (Fri) and they don't see the AMEX card yet. I guess I will transfer enough regular MR points a few days before the year is up to get the free tix. I figure then the next day all the other points will hit.

This question doesn't completely relate, but I thought one of you might know the answer.

I just received my JB Amex about a month ago, and now they're going to quit flying out of BNA. Since Nashville isn't close to any other JB city, it doesn't make any sense to collect points for a reward program that I won't really be able to utilize.

Does anyone know if you can change from a JB Amex to another type of AMEX?

Thanks...

If you get another AmEx you can transfer your credit line online to the other card and then close down the B6 one, keeping the credit line open. If you're not really worried about that just close out the card and get a new one (the SPG card comes highly recommended in the AmEx forum).
