South - Question about Atlanta T security entrance

I was checking in for a flight leaving out of B terminal - the gate agent directed me to the T terminal security line indicating it was shorter than the main line.

I ended up going through the main line anyway because I had plenty of time, and also because in the back of my mind I thought I had erroneously gotten into the T line a few years ago and been "kicked out" of it as my boarding pass indicated a different terminal (eg A, B or whatever).

I have a flight out of ATL tomorrow and I know I'll be cutting it short.

If the T terminal line looks faster, can I go through that with a BP for a different terminal?

I use T even though I fly Delta. It's generally faster and I've never been turned away.

I use terminal T security line and haven't had an issue with boarding passes for other terminals.

Follow-up question here...

I flew AA out of ATL yesterday for the first time in about a decade. The wait times were "20-30" minutes at both checkpoints, so I decided I'd better visit the restroom first. Leaving the restroom, I stumbled on the "first class/elite" line for the main entrance, used that, and cleared thru in about 10 minutes.

That got me wondering, is there a first/elite line at the T checkpoint too?

And, are the wait-time estimate messages that are sent from the ATL website generally pretty accurate?

The T Gate security line has no elite security. In general the best elite security line is on the north side (south side is awful, sometimes slower than the main line).

to add, the reason why the south terminal elite line is generally longer is because DL is on the south terminal. north terminal has basically everyone else (besides UA and AA, in T terminal), but not nearly as many elites going through.
