Asiana Club - Are All OZ 777's Re-Configured With New Business Class

The title says it all. Has the retrofit of the business class seats been completed on the entire 777 fleet. If not, are the old configurations used specifically on any routes out of ICN?

The new seats look fantastic.

What retrofit? I think there's two, one of seat and one of entertainment. But I didn't know either had started yet, and thought another new a/c was needed before either did. I thought that was due to be delviered today.

Defintely not. Was on LAX-ICN two weeks ago and it was not the new business class seats. Not horrible, but the seats were more like the regional seats found on CX, SQ and JL rather than lie flat.

Made for a long trip across the Pacific.

So I guess the answer is NO

Only new aircraft come with new seats, old aircraft never have any kind of reconfiguration, as you know asiana really have a small fleet but too many cities to serve, never have time to take any 777 out , I only know beyond HL7739 all have them deliverd with new seats.

I was told that when the next 777 arrives, the oldest one will be refitted over the winter. However not clear whether that's IFE or seats or both

According to Asiana CSR I spoke with today, ICN-LAX 777s have new business class seats. We'll see...

Oh boy, yes ! I am still having therapy because of this ... ;)

I was recently told by OZ reservations that ICN-SYD is the new J seats on the 777 - we will see. I think we all know that tail numbers are rarely assigned to a trip until a day or two before so I guess it is Asiana Roulette for me.

Regardless, even if it is the old seats, from what I have read on the opinion and rating web sites the in-flight cabin staff more than make up for the standard business class seating. Really looking forward to OZ, just wish I knew if all the 777's had the new seats.

No one can certain at this point even Asiana employees. However I believe the chance you'll have new C seat is more than 95%.

Even the "old" C seat is quite ok. I wouldn't worry too much.

I believe one of the 74M has D check recently, instead of refitting with new seats, they actually remove the rest of the seats and become a 74F !

You know, I actually prefer the old style seats ( CX Regional-like) over the tilted-lie-flat seats on the new ones...
