Hertz - Satellite Radio

Hi Guys and Girls,

I would like to know; what cars do have satellite radios in them?

Do all of the radio have active XM or Sirius subs?

all fun cars do, and some prestige have sirius, also new gm cars have a xm 3-month trial if i'm not mistaken

I rented an envoy a few months back. It had XM but for some reason I only had access to a few stations

It looks like many new sonatas have preinstalled xm - I've had it both at hertz and dollar.

If it is not activated, they just give you a few random stations every day.

i was just given a Chrysler sebring at the Albany NY airport that had sirius preinstalled and fully activated. I didnt request it - I think I have the automatic upgrade thing but I forget the details of it

I regularly request satellite radio (I think it is in my profile), and it is a mixed bag whether I get a vehicle with it or not. Generally, at airport locations, I'll get something with Sirius (it could be preinstalled or a small external device), HLE's usually not (actually had my reservation changed by the HLE where they removed satellite from the reservation, I had a copy of the reservation with me that had it). On all but 1 occasion, the satellite radio was Sirius (I believe Hertz has some sort of contract with them), the once with XM it wasn't activated and I had like 3-4 'random' stations that were pretty worthless to me (but it was a free upgrade to a Cadallica CTS, so not really complaining).

I've had Sirius satellite radio in these vehicles:
* PT Cruiser (many times), preinstalled
* Chevy HHR (a few times), external
* Toyota Solara conv, external
* Dodge Nitro, external
* Ford Taurus
* Jeep Commander

A few times I've raised a fuss when I wasn't upgraded and didn't get satellite radio, as I sometimes am renting a vehicle to drive a distance. Once, they gave me a Mustang Convertible (no satellite, but made for a nice drive), another time I got a Jeep Commander that had Sirius.

I have an XM Roady in my own personal vehicle, and find it difficult to be in a vehicle without satellite...the commercials, etc.
