Great report! and from your mac too ;) Sounds like you just did what I did but my destination was Tibet though I want to visit Bhutan as soon as next summer.

Questions:
Why did you drive into Bhutan?
Since the kids were so anxious to have a picture I am now wondering what can westerners bring to them as some small gifts?
Did DRUK have First Class and Coach or is it all Coach?
How did you ascend the climb to Tiger's nest? assume it's truly on foot?
What hotel did you stay in Bhutan?
What was the food like in Bhutan? What did you have? Anything we should know to stay away from?
What tour company did you use?

OK thanks in advance I ask these questions here as I know others are interested in visiting Bhutan.

For everyone else I heard that the celebratinos next year around the King won't be made public sounds like to continue to protect their culture from a bunch of tourists? Anyone have any additional info?

I was in Bhutan this year. Druk Air does have a business class and the seats are perfectly nice. If you fly from DEL you must get a seat on the left side of the plane so you can see Everest and the Himalayas.

Tigers Nest has to be walked - it is about 3-4 hrs roundtrip. But well worth it.

Food is excellent - lots of chile!
