I was flipping channels a couple of days back and I encountered this dialog in a movie -
"You two must be mileage upgrades. They let all sorts of scum into First Class these days."

(You'd be happy to know that the guy making that remark was arrested later in the scene)

The wedding singer is close, as that movie has a great airline quote as well (before Adam Sandler sings to Drew Barrymore - he's in First Class and she's in Coach)-this is announced by Billy Idol:

"This a song by one of our First Class passengers for one of our Coach passengers. And since we let our First Class passengers do whatever they want, he will be coming into the Coach cabin and singing for us."

It's from a movie called "Quick Change" with Bill Murray. It's a pretty hilarious movie, I just saw it a few weeks ago.

QUick Change: a few yuks, not as funny as it could have been. Two paws.

The Wedding SInger. I went in wanting to Hate this picture (I see Adam Sandler and cringe) but to my surprise he dropped the bathroom humor and actually showed some acting talent. Drew was marvelous. A fun romance, nice moments, and made me nostagic of the 80's my growing years. (then I remembered high school -- BLEH!) Three Paws (FOur PAWS and a big MEOW for Drew's adorable performance.)

My irony of The Wedding Singer (and the reason I immediately thought of it): I watched it sitting on a plane...in first class...on my way to Las Vegas...But was NOT allowed to sing a song to anyone in coach...and no Billy Idol, either http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif ...

Matt: Maybe if you ask UA ahead of time they would let you sing. Being elite they might allow it.

Personally if I am in first class with a singer I hope It's JImmy Buffett, Gloria Estefan, Debbie Harry or Cyndi Lauper.
