US Airways Dividend Miles - The 319s do seem a little cleaner lately

I've noticed that my flights lately on the 319 have been a bit cleaner -- the walls are white instead of covered in sweat grime, the bulkheads are clean (which may be a function of them being plastic, not carpet), and the armrests/tray tables have improved.

The 737s, on the other hand, now seem to be treated like cars with over 100K miles now. You just don't bother to wax them as often as you did when they were new. US seems to be just doing the bare minimum with the appearance of these birds until they can get rid of them.

Note, these are all east planes.

Will have the "pleasure" of sitting 1DF Friday, will take the white gloves with me and report.

I'll let you know Friday morning, when I fly back to PHL.....

ETA: Just looked at Seatguru, looks like there is actually 2-3" more pitch on the E170 I took out here...hmmm.

I'm quite a fan of the Embraer 170/175/190. Only the 190 has F, but the 170/175's are quite comfortable.

Agreed. 2-3" more pitch than an A319 and same seat width. Plenty of headroom too, unlike other Embraer planes.

Flew DCA-FLL last weekend on 734's and sat up front on both legs. The cabins were in good shape, and the seats were surprisingly clean. My companion and I were in the first row, and I noticed the bulkhead was pretty dirty - not too surprising though.

Update: Well, it was quite clean, pillows and blankets (in plastic) were waiting. No trash to be seen anywhere.

The 319 was pretty clean on Friday - but the E170 was much roomier....
