I have had nothing but poor service at this station. Although I have learned to put up with the rudeness and inefficiency (one Friday there was one individual to check cars in at 11 am!!) this morning I got a real shock when I discovered that my contract for one week rental of a Honda Civic was made out for $ 457.00 instead of the $ 177 that was in my confirmed reservation. The agent whom I spoke to get this rectified, instead of looking at the reservation told me rather brusquely that I had to show her proof of what I was claiming. Long story short, this turned into a quasi courtroom case but fortunately I prevailed even after showing the reservation on my laptop did not impress the agent who mumbled something about the fact it was not a complete week.
As I am PC with Hertz I guess that does not mean anything in PDX as opposed to the good service I normally get at stations such as ONT, TPA, CIC etc.
Might be time to rethink this Hertz situation especially now that rewards have been diminished in value.
