Can I really use the AMEX Platinum Priority Pass to get into any lounge at any airport regardless of which airline, destination, and class of service I am booked in?
Does this include First Class and Business Class Lounges as well or just Crown Room type Lounges?

If you look at the Platinum privileges, it states that you have to have a same day ticket on the airline to enter their lounge. I believe that it's just the basic lounge, as I've never had any luck with any of the others. On the plus side, the annual fee is about the same price as a lounge membership and is a nice step towards the elusive black card.
Why the thumbs down???

oh crap, I thought that was a question mark LOL sorry by no means do I give AMEX thumbs down (except maybe when I get a high bill, hehe)
Anyway, I have a UK issued Platinum International Dollar Card and one of the features is something called Priority Pass which supposedly allows you entry into any lounge regardless of airline, destination, or class of service you are booked in. I just got the card so I havent been able to use this or have even gotten the actual Priority Pass so not exactly sure how it works.

No, when you have the Priority Pass card you can access lounges which participate in their network, all is explained here...

If it's similar to the UK Plat (which I suspect is the case, but you should check) you need to activate the Priority Pass membership by completing and returning the PP form. This will result in a PP card for you, and a secondary cardholder if relevant, which you will need for access for PP lounges other than same day entry to AA, CO and NW lounges (more?) when using those airlines.
Hmmm ... I see many threads.
Here's relevant info from miikka in one of the other threads started by you:

What comedy? Seems that they are actually doing quite well - they even sent you the card sooner than the normal delivery. You will receive your information package later and they will help you over the phone, you can always call them and ask any questions you want. Their web pages also list all the benefits - if you need to fill some forms to get your benefits then you can ask them to fax you the forms and then you can fax them back.

yeah, i have asked numerous questions regarding the Card, only because the web site for International Currency Cards seems to be pretty basic IMO in comparison with the other markets.
I have yet to recieve my welcome pack, but I am sure once I get that that will clear up any other questions or doubts.

Daniel,
Here is a link to the Priority Pass application that you can fill in: http://www.americanexpress.com/lacidc/iccsite/pdf/Priority_Pass_Application.pdf
If you fax it to them you should get your Priority Pass card within a week or so.

I think also the hotel and car rental forms are also all in the ICC web pages.
