More Hertz vehicles than ever are now equipped with NeverLost*. Now you can enjoy up to two free days of NeverLost by using PC# 105663.** To have one every time you rent at locations throughout the U.S., simply click here for instructions on how to update your Hertz #1 Club Gold® Profile.

I used this PC for an F rental @ IND 9/26-9/28. The rate was $62.73/day which seemed high. I went back and removed the PC code and the rate dropped to $40.25/day. The free NL actually cost an additional $22.50/day, it's only a $11/day option normally.

I didn't have that problem but when I went to return the car they didn't take off the Neverlost. They tried to argue I had a reduced price and that was all. I had to call Hertz to get it fixed.

I guess we should really say, beware of all PCs... as most of them will do exactly this -- exclude all rates but the "standard" (i.e. higher) rate. Normally most PCs can be used with the RQ LAST though, so that's typically a great combination.

I had the same experience, and it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. :td:

I thought I was being clever by spending 16 minutes on the phone with a Hertz rep. who manually plugged in this PC code for me. When I then noticed the one-day rate had gone from about $59 to $71 I immediately called back.

The second and better-informed rep told me 1) that it's required to print the rate out and present it at the counter for a refund - the "free" add-on doesn't show on the res. and 2) the rate wouldn't apply to my rental anyway since we're picking up at Port Everglades post-cruise and returning it to FLL and one of the terms is that the car must be returned to the original location.

At least I got my original rate back. ;)
