I understand the virtuoso properties in Buenos Aires are the Faena, Four Seasons, Alvear and the Park Hyatt.

Could David O or others kindly tell me the Virtuoso benefits at these hotels? Any other recommendations would be welcome as well since this is my first trip to BA. Notice the Sofitel is a LHW but not sure it is the location I want.

Is there a consensus on which hotel is tops among the virtuoso hotels listed?

My travel agent suggested Alvear. I'm interested in a great location. I also would like a good pool/jacuzzi/fitness facility. A nice contemporary non-stuffy restuarant/bar. I'm not really interested in a stuffy hotel (think old RC.)

Is the FS comparably priced with Alvear?

Thank you.

IIRC some here thought the Alvear was stuffy, but no one said that about the FS.

Faena and PH are more modern - dont recall much discussion of PH's service etc.

The Virtuoso rates at Four Seasons are $395 for a Superior Room King, $415 for a Deluxe Room King. Both rooms are the same size (430) sq. ft., but the deluxe rooms are on higher floors.

The Virtuoso rates at Alvear are $424 for a Palace Room (1 queen) and $452 for a Premier Palace Room (1 Queen).
