hi folks, i've asked before but no joy!
i land from DUB to LHR at 08.05 on Thur morning in T1. my next flight departs T3 at 09.40.
1) What is my best way to make this connection.
2) I depart Dublin at 06.40..is the flight time really 85mins? or are BA allowing for ground time etc.
Would really really appreciate any help as i want to be in position to hit the ground running come thursday morning!

There's certainly some padding in there.
I think if you can let us know what class you'll be travelling in ex LHR that would help, and also will you need to check bags in/pick up boarding passes?

DUb to LHR is usually around an hour but can take longer at that time in the morning if you're stacked over Heathrow which often happens at that time.
As Swiss Tony says much depends on how you're travelling but you should have enough time - T1 to T3 is a short walk by underground passage.

as the other posters said, if you don't have any ck'd bags and if you have access to elite lines for ck in and if the transition lines are fairly short, you can make it in the 1hr35 min hands down with time to spare. When you off load just follow the overhead connections signs to a bus that will take you to T3, you will have to go thru some screening but no customs. I just went thru there yesterday and had no problem with an 1:30 min exchange. My friend ck'd a bag yesterday on our bmi flt, it took 25 min just to get his ck'd bag and he just made the T3 flt. Did it last dec with 85 minutes and had some time to spare, not much but some to spare. All was done with the help of this forums help and the bmi forum.
oops, sorry I didn't mention that the bus does keep you airside so it drops you in T3 and you walk up into the shoppings area's that are airside.
good luck^^

I'm really nervous about it now:confused:

Don't be.
Just be grateful for having to spend so little time in a terrible airport.

Note that because you're coming in from Dublin, the above isn't strictly correct.
You will be pushed landside at T1. You cannot access the Flight Connections Centre directly from RoI arrivals. However, your best bet is probably to go straight to domestic security at T1. You'll get a funny look from the BP checker, but explain that you're connecting from DUB and you'll be fine. (Queues at T3 for regular security can be looooong.) You then need to go through security and then follow signs to the flight connections centre. You won't go through any further security checks and will take a coach to T3 airside.

somebody mentioned in an earlier post that ROI arrivals are treated the same as domestic travellers?
Can i ask someone, Swiss tony perhaps, to give me accurate directions to take from the moment i hit the T1 arrivals?
ie: do i take a left/right..escalator etc, what signs am i looking for?
i need to be at the gate 20 mins prior to departure, so this means 09.20 having landed in T1 at 08.05!!!

ok i just cecked the LHR website and they say for ROI arrivals with onward flights from T3
1.on leaving the aircraft..follow the signs for flight connections
2.hand baggage check
3.security screening
4.transfer bus that operates every 6 mins will take yout to your terminal
5.on arrival in T3 njoy shopping etc!!!!
God i hope the above is true!!!!
If you are arriving from DUB to T1 then you face a walk of approximately two and a half miles from the gate to get anywhere.
