I will be arriving at PVG next week, and I plan to purchase 2 domestic sectors when I touch down at PVG. The 2 sectors are SHA-SZX, and SZX-PEK. I plan to purchase at the ticketing offices of CA, CZ and/or FM.

Would like to know whether the ticketing offices of the above 3 airlines at PVG accept credit card for payment.

Thanks in advance for your prompt response.

No problems at all. Cards work well now (4% or less surcharge). Don't buy your second segment until you need it (once you buy it you're locked in and the price probably won't change much).

thanks moondog for your response and advice.

I will be arriving in PVG this coming Thursday, 13th Sep. I guess the various airlines' ticketing offices are at the departure hall right?

My planned dates for SHA-SZX is 17th Sep, and SZX-PEK is 19th Sep. So I believed I could purchase this 2 sectors at the ticketing offices at PVG since my travelling dates for these 2 sectors are pretty soon and no major price fluctuations are expected?

One final question, is the price quoted on ctrip.com the same as what the PVG airlines' ticketing office will charge me (minus the 4% surcharge)?

Thanks again.

I prefer to purchase over the phone with ctrip because doing so eliminates that possibility of having to wait in line. My second favorite purchase method is to use physical TAs (in hotels or on the street). Prices don't fluctuate a lot between channels, but some agents can only offer discounted tickets on flights that originate from their home cities (this has become less of an issue during recent years).
