Hertz - penatly for one way?

Hi. I am looking to rent the shelby for a one way rental for 2 weeks from lax to sfo. they wont let you take the shelby for a one way rental. Wondering if anyone knows what the penalty would be if during my lax-lax rental.. I " had to " suddenly return the car to SFO? thanks

They will KILL you with the drop-off charges. Really.

One, it's a FUN, Prestige, whatever, so the renting station doesn't get that revenue that comes with renting it there back, and plus, even though it's what, 300 miles, the fee will be ridiculous.

How much they rent for a day anyway? Then multiply that by 3.

You can get very cheap rates on regular non premium cars LAX-SFO; get one and try to talk our way into an upgrade. Even at $50/day it will be much cheaper than what you could otherwise reserve. Don't even think of not returning to where you picked it up -- with the Shelby (which they check much more closesly than normal cars) you'll be especially SOL.
