Travel Technology - Garmin 496 with Satellite weather / radio will it work in Europe?

I have a Garmin 496.

I get weather / satellite radio (XM) in the USA?

I know the GPS will work (and I have ordered the Europe maps also)

Will I get weather and satellite radio in Europe?

I am guessing weather will not work, but radio might work.

Any suggestions or observations?

I would say no on both satellite radio and weather. There is satellite radio in Europe but it doesn't work like in the US.

The previous poster is correct. There is no XM in Europe.

XM doesn't work outside of North America (except for Northern Canada and above - no signal there either) and the Western Caribbean.
