Apologies if this has beeen covered, but hadn't seen it so thought I would share:

Lufthansa will serve Toronto five times per week. It will also serve New York daily and raise frequency on the Chicago route to six-times weekly from May.

From what I have heard LTU has done quite nicely on the YYZ-DUS seasonal service. Hopefully LH will be able to get good numbers for this route. Is it going to operate year around? With an A343?

Well it will provide us AE members with another option for reward travel and thus avoiding AC's rip-off of fuel surcharges.

Don't know how onward connection are via DUS with LH though.

AFAIK, intra-EU connections at DUS should be good but the longer haul routes won't have near the range of choice as FRA. But yes, all in all good news. ^

I was hoping they'd do a YYC-MUC for next year.

FYI, This new Lufthansa YYZ > DUS flight offers First Class on a A343

Just booked my summer Euro '08 holidays and grabbed 2 First Class seats ^

So this flight along with YUL > MUC are the only flights on LH that operate FIRST CLASS from and to Canada.
