Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific - PIN numbers in NZ for CCs?

Preparing to go to NZ. I've found lots of helpful stuff on the forum, but it's all swimming around in my head now.

Do merchants/hotels in NZ require you to know your PIN number when you use a credit card?


How far in advance would I need to check in for an ZQN-AKL flight?

PIN's on CC's will only work in NZ shops if you have an NZ CC, otherwise you will need to sign for them. Your PIN will still work if you wish to make cash withdrawals from an ATM.

If you have a US or international CC which does not require a pin, will work
the same way. No need to take your ATM pin for your CC with you.

In fact you should not be using that.

You can sign for it instead (except at ATMs of course).

How far in advance would I need to check in for an ZQN-AKL flight?

It used to be that you need to be checked in 30mins before you domstic flight but in the media today its now been reduced to 20mins.
Note that doesnt apply if your connecting to a int flight then you need 60mins
