JetBlue TrueBlue - Credit due to fare drop - some questions

Hi verybody,

I am a "6B newbie" and booked my first flight with JetBlue. As I learned from FT you could get a credit if the fare drops. Guess what happened ? Right it did and I already got a credit worth some bucks on my reservation for a party of three.

What is the best way to use it ? How can I use ? Can only I myself use it or can I also hand it to friends of mine ? Would I need to make the booking for them ?
Would there have been another/better way for the credit to get (e.g. paper cert, credit to credit card used for booking, ...) ?

Please advise.

Cheers

B6 doesn't use paper certs (and be grateful :-). Nor could the credit be to your credit card, that would have been a "refund". As per the website, search word "credit": Your JetBlue Getaways credit is good for one year from the date it was issued and it may be used by anyone you wish.

You can use it for air-only or vacation package reservations.

Did you set up a TrueBlue Account? Its B6's frequent flyer program. If not, I would, simply so that your existing credit can then be connected to that account. As an account holder, you'll have access to a link called "credit history" which will keep track of all of your electronic issued credits. That way you can have it ready to easily apply when you book your next online reservation. (Or reservation in someone elses name).
