Travel Technology - Schedule synching PDA?

Is there software available that would allow me to sync my schedule with those I work with? Something akin to a day planner that automatically alerts each party when scheduling conflicts arise. Perhaps something internet-based.

Do I need a particular PDA? I've been thinking about the Blackberry 8800 series.
