Hello,

I am keen to visit WA during springtime for the wildflowers but am unsure as to when is the best time to go. Guidebooks and various websites mention that the flower season streches from July, to the North, to November, to the South.
But most flower events, like shows or festivals, seem to be over by the end of September.
So, is there any point in spending the first two weeks of November in the region South of Perth, or is it too late in the season?
FWIW I don't do guided tours, and have no interest in touring wineries.

TIA

November south of Perth is somewhat similar to May in Nova Scotia, fwiw....perhaps that will help you judge whether your trip is worthwhile. I would guess that you would enjoy the wild flowers then, but October might be better for this. The northern parts of WA are a lot warmer and have an earlier season, and in typical desert fashion the flowers peak in a 1-2 week window, so it is quite hard to time that a year in advance (more luck than skill).
