South - Big night out dinner in NoLa-Upperline or Brigstens?

This will be our one fancy meal for our long Decadence weekend.
Our plans include lunch at Willie Mae's Scotch House,brunch at Palace Cafe,brunch at Ralphs on the Park.Other meals will be sponteneous/casual places.

I don't think that you would go wrong with either place. Both have great food, been around a long time, owner-operated and very friendly. But, if you like wacky art, then that would tip it towards Upperline. It's walls are a cornucopia of local artists' wares.
