Hertz - New to Hertz. Points going to Virgin Atlantic. ?s

I am new to Hertz. Usually a Avis person. Got my Number 1 Gold status from Amex Plat.. I input my VS number on every reservation online. Recently it has been necessary to give the number again when I pick up the car and often also when I return it. Is there a way to get around this repeat process? I was told no my three Hertz reps. Also. I noticed in addition to great rates I have been getting a 5% Amex Open savings. Nice. Points seem to take forever to post to VS. Is there a certain cycle? Thanks.

VS mileage usually posts for me on wednesdays within a week or two. Only once it took either 3 or 4 weeks.
Make sure you check VS mileage option on the last page of online reservation (it's easy to miss). I have never had a problem with FF # input.

Can you use a corporate CDP, or does it have to be a FF CDP? I always credit to VS & love the 500 miles per rental!

The only thing I know for sure is that since I went Gold and put the Amex OPEN discount on points have not posted. So today in OKC I am back to Avis until I can see points posting under my current Hertz configuration.

I have been using code for a while with my local HLE. $25 for two weekend days + 2000 VS RDM ^ for a great deal.

I know this works for double VS miles, curious since the linked page says to add airline CDP, curious if anyone know if other airlines are offering double
