Sorry, didn't see this one :)
Not sure why there are 2 PR's out, but glad to see jetBlue connecting the dots, especially with the E190! This route is definitely a surprise...
I'm assuming the flights will be operated in between the new JFK-BTV and BTV-JFK 190 runs. Also, these flight times are ideal for leisure vacationers heading south.
Someone in a thread on a.net mentioned this is the longest flight out of BTV in the history of the airport! Can anyone confirm this??

The second PR is marked as an update but I'm quite sure what the update is. Then again, I don't have to time to go through with a great amount of indepthed detail.
You are correct about it being the E190 and time is absolutely fantastic for leisure passengers.

Do you even think B6 will became all year-round both direction from BTV-MCO? I think it would be successful BTV-MCO. What is next major announcement new routes from MCO? I think B6 will continuation more growth new west coast cities. It doesn't need change from A320 to E190.

That would be me (UN_B732 on A.net) who made that assertion.
I have no solid evidence to back it up, but I'm not aware of any routes pre or post deregulation longer than BTV.-MSP, a recent NW addition.
I'm now rooting for BTV-FLL, an O&D market only a bit smaller than MCO, but we'll see.

It is my understanding that the BTV-MCO route is a year round route.
As far a more service being announce, I wouldn't hold my breath. FLL is picking up 6 new stations and the MCO-BTV is official, all online by mid-January. FWIW, there was a rumor on a.net that was hinting more cold stations to FLL were on the way later this winter like (possibly) PWM. However, keep in mind rumors can reliable as information passed amongst kids playing telephone.

I do :)
All it did was add the following line to the T&C of the fare promotion:
Blackout dates are January 17 - 23, 2008.
MLK Day...

nice catch... A lot of people would have been thrilled if that black out date wasn't in effect.

Someone in a thread on a.net mentioned this is the longest flight out of BTV in the history of the airport! Can anyone confirm this?? Air Florida served BTV briefly in 1981-82. Not sure what station they flew to (maybe FLL). They pulled out shortly after the Palm 90 crash at DCA in January 1982.
It is great that B6 has opened this extra market out of BTV. Hopefully it will attract enough Quebecois willing to cross the border for a cheaper ride to make it pay off.

You meant Air Florida was flies non-stop from BTV-Florida in the past. Since what year is that? I'm sure B6 will choose another new routes from BTV-FLL. I don't considerable to remember which specific routes from BTV. I think that means I still remember what happened Air Florida was flies from BTV-Florida which cities is that?

I wish MCO would get some routes to the West.

Routes to the west? Um... what? You got:
MCO-SEA on AS
MCO-LAS and MCO-LAX on WN
MCO-PHX on WN and US
MCO-DEN on F9
MCO-SFO on UA
SLC-MCO on DL
MCO-SAN on AirTran
...Orlando has plenty of routes to the west. About the only large western city you DON'T have a nonstop to is Portland, Oregon.

I was talking about direct flights to LAS and LAX via Jet Blue. I am already aware there are flights via other carriers. I am flying Delta next week to LAS.

This has gotten OT, but to bring things at least back to JetBlue . . .
JetBlue had a nonstop MCO-BUR a year or so ago and discontinued it. So it must not have had the numbers, I guess.

Yes, B6 has being discontinuation last year in Nov. 2006. Because it wasn't performance very well. It was not enough O/D dailies passengers from MCO-BUR then it was pull out non-stop. It was only short time MCO-BUR. Maybe B6 will get free up some A320 for newest routes. It wasn't profitable for B6 lately BUR-MCO.
