Hertz - Philadelphia, the worst hertz station

Philadelphia is the worst place to rent a hertz vehicle - time and time again this station has nasty workers and dirty cars. Once again this happened this week - I had a Grand Prix with 50k miles on it (believe it or not). The counter person said because I rented on points my 5 star did not mean a thing to her and that I would have to take that car or nothing (there were plenty on the lot)

have any of you experienced bad service here - i'm going to write in to hertz about this one.

Aw, c'mon - PHL's not nearly as bad as PIT or SEA! ;)

I had bad luck there a few months ago also. I had reserved a car with NL & of course the car they had assigned didn't have NL. At least it only took about 15-20 minutes for them to find me a car with NL & it ended up OK, although the car was filthy.

I don't know about Hertz but the best customer service I ever had from Delta was in PHL -- and the local staff there had a great reputation on the Delta Forum. (I haven't seen much written about it recently, but have no reason to believe that it has changed.)

I've actually seen this airport transform over the last year+. You can see a big change in how they do things (Name on the board / lot more organized), and I've even seen the attitudes improve tremendoulsy. I'm in and out of PHL more than any other airport and am happy to see the changes.

Compared with Avis at PHL, Hertz is miles ahead in terms of customer service and car cleanliness, IMHO.

Usually no wait to pick up my car if my name appears on the board at Hertz, vs. having to go to the counter at Avis and line up. (I don't take the shuttle bus over to the car rental facilities). And the lineups for returning a car to Avis are just plain nasty on a Thursday evening, while I've had to wait at most 5 minutes at Hertz.

You're right, I'm in Philly twice a month and the service from Hertz is horrific. I've tried complaining both via comments on the website and via phone and had no response.
