Hi FTers, I have no place to ask this question except here.

I'm trying to make a long term stay at hotel in Brisbane, may be up 2.5 years from now. Can anyone give me an estimate price ??

I'm not looking for some fancy hotels like Hilton, All I want is just somewhat 3 to 4 stars.

I would appreciate your comment ~!

Thanks.

Are you looking to make a reservation to begin 2.5 years from now or are you looking to make a hotel reservation where you'll be a guest for 2.5 years?

If it's the first, most hotels work about 12 months in advance - if you call directly, there might be a bit of leeway but I strongly doubt that you'd be able to make a rez so far in advance.

If it's the latter, a few things. First, consider a serviced apartment in lieu of a hotel room. If you really want the hotel, this being FT, consider what program you want to join and find a few in a good area with reasonable rates and book a 20 - 30 day at each (points usually don't accrue for stays over 30 days and that would be a waste), revolving among the hotels of choice across 1-2 programs. As far as rates go, for such a long period - you would negotiate directly with the hotel for a better rate than is posted - you promise a certain level of business and in exchange, they offer you some sort of deal with a lower rate, maybe an upgrade, figure out what you'd want.

I know you said you didn't want a 'fancy' place but I believe the Hilton could be good option for you. I am aware of some long stay clients there. They are treated like family by the exec lounge staff. The rooms are not much (hotel is getting on a bit) but it is right in the middle of the city.

The Comfort Inn Robertson Gardens hotel is used a lot by business travellers that don't need to be right in the city area and it has kitchenette rooms. Long stay rates here can usually be negotiated st good rates.

It really depends on what area you need to be in. I agree that a serviced apartment may better suit your needs. There are lots of these in Brisbane - just do a google search. Feel free to ask more questions as your plans develop and maybe we can help narrow things down for you.
