to be honest, I didn't want to complain Amex in that thread, nor this either(because there is a thread in Amex forum about that Financial Review topic, there are tons of complaints there). What I did in *wood thread is just answer questions that people asked me.

also, u are right, someone answered my question in that thread, but only one person, I need more answers to confirm because 4 Amex reps diff answers, 2 yes, 2 no!!!!

I think you have to have an "account in good standing" to use the points. Go back and review that long terms and conditions document you got when you signed up for the card. If your card was canceled, it's no longer in good standing, is it? I guess I'm confused because points from your Hilton AmEx transfer to Hilton every month. At most you're out a month's points, right?

Since this isn't really a Hilton question, they have nothing to do with your AmEx account, it seems like you might get a better response in the AmEx forum. Of course, you might not like the answer you get, which is probably going to be that whatever points haven't transferred to Hilton are lost.

thanks for your reply. this past month was the month I had large charges, which good for a three days vacation for both SPG and Hilton.

You will not get the points and why in the world did you close an account that has no annual fee anyway?

Further, in the Hyatt forum, you expressed skepticism re the AAA club membership. Why?
