Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific - Hand Luggage Weight Restriction in Perth?

I'm going to Perth in Oct on SQ in C. SQ's website says I am limited to 7kg and 2 bags for my hand luggage.

How strict is the Perth airport in enforcing the weight limit on the return flight? I know some airports, SIN, NRT, just about everywhere in the US, don't care as long as you look like you can handle it, and others are not so forgiving.

Right now, I will probably only have 1 bag but it will be closer to 10kg, primarilly due to a laptop and a bunch of camera equipment.

As long as it doesn't look heavy you are probably fine.

From time to time they have a crackdown on it, but usually only on things that look heavy, or the person is straining carrying it.
