Hilton HHonors - TIME TO FLY OFFER promo?

I just checked the Point Details for my last reward night stay last week in Germany.

Base Points .......... 1,200
50% BONUS ON BASE PT ... 600
DIAMOND VIP - 2007 ..... 600
TIME TO FLY OFFER .... 1,000
Total Points for Stay: 3,400
Can anyone tell me where those 1,000 points for TIME TO FLY OFFER comes from? A new promo? I cannot remember signing up for anything lately...

I got the same on a recent European stay, but just assumed it was part of the rate I had booked. Wonder how long it lasts.

I guess I'm not clear how one would get base points, bonus points, diamond vip on an award stay. Magic? You have definitely made quite a haul based on "nothing" (nothing being not paying for your stay).

Don't ask, just take it. It happens from time to time and pretty frequently at certain hotels. I know at least one London Hotel where I get points on every award stay (and I am not the only one); which one? Follow FT very carefully and you will find out.

Though so myself too, but got those points in Frankfurt, Berlin, Zurich, Vienna and Munich. Obviously, only Zurich is an aiport hotel

When on Reward Stay, I always try to charge something to the room. On this stay, I charged extra breakfast for visiting friends and the very cheap (!) rate of 10 EUR ($13) for 60 minutes internet. 24 hr internet would have costed 24 EUR ($33).

Exactly correct. Award stays can still earn points (depending on the chain) based on any eligible incidentals put onto the folio.
