JetBlue TrueBlue - Help with TrueBlue awards: Too many Award Flights?
I feel like I am not understanding something here...
I took advantage of B6's recent PIT promotion that was offered in June (100 points for a R/T out of PIT). Anyway, a few weeks later I received my TrueBlue monthly statement that said I had 8 TruePasses. So I logged in online to check and, sure enough, it says I have 4 award flights (2 TruePasses per award for a total of 8).
And, if I understand this correctly, each TrueBlue pass is good for a "one-way flight" and this includes a "one-way connecting flight" that consists of two or three flights.
So, did I magically end of with the ability to take 4 free roundtrip flights (consisting of 16+ flight segments)? All for taking one (horrible) roundtrip to JFK? What am I missing here?

How many trips did you take out of PIT on that promotion?

I've flown B6 twice in my life. One one-way in March and this recent roundtrip to JFK in July.

So I don't understand how you got so many free flights from a promo. It might either be a glitch or huge compensation from a huge delay. not sure...

Another hypothesis....could it be intentionally done to make some PIT flyers excited about B6?
The vibe I am getting is that PIT continues to be a big disappointment, but also a surprising disappointment. A few extra free tickets won't hurt revenue, given B6 isn't being chosen that much initially.
On a related note: From the US board, US is pulling some well liked west-coast nonstops. If PIT-LGB or PIT-OAK are feasable, there are still opportunities to find life from this station.
So I logged in online to check and, sure enough, it says I have 4 award flights (2 TruePasses per award for a total of 8).
So far, I've only received 1 free flight for each one booked during the promotion, and flown (4 so far)... each one has showed up after I flew the outbound (same day) every Monday for the past month... check out the details in your Trueblue account on when the free points were posted.
My big regret was only booking 4 tickets during the promotion (could have easily booked 10+), but I suspect I won't be able to use up more than 1 or 2 of the vouchers (as I already had 3 free roundtrips in my account from living on PIT-BOS last year, and now PIT-JFK this year) since all of my travel for work is reimbursed, and vacation time is limited.

wasn't there a limit on how many free flights you could earn?
to solve your dilemma you could always gift or sell the award flights...

Good thing that Jet Blue gives you the option to transfer your award flights.

It's a glitch in their system. Since the PIT promotion said you could only earn one free flight I only booked one RT.. It seems you could have booked multiple and gotten multiple trips. But the promo clearly only stated once, so you guys got lucky and enjoy it.
