Qantas Frequent Flyer - "First Saver" Fares

I am planning a trip EDI - PER/ADL early next year. I have been before a few times and have always gone biz but I have been bitten by the F bug. However, Qantas website fares in F to PER and ADL are *higher* than those to MEL and SYD even though a) PER and ADL are nearer and especially b) the SIN to PER and ADL sections is J as no F on those flights. Of course the FT thing to do would be to go to SYD or MEL in the cone and get an internal flight! However my time is a bit tight and I would like to go straight to PER. Does anyone know if this price will alter as the time gets nearer or could I buy biz tickets and then upgrade on the LHR-SIN section? Or should I just pay-up and shut up!

If you go via LHR-SIN-PER, you will only get 1st class as far as Singapore. I would suggest that buying a 1st class ticket when you would only get F to SIN is not that good value

Make very sure that CX offer F to ADL. I thought they only offered Y & J (at least that was a year or three ago). I'm too lazy to check this though!

Looks like CX offer F to ADL but not to PER.

They should do, iirc the CX ADL flight continues onto MEL which has F.

Yes, CX105 operates 3 times a week by an A330-300 sold as three classes.
