The Caribbean - san juan weather

im thinking about going down for labor day but thought i read somewhere that it rains a lot the end of aug. has anybody been during this time of year?

Statistically, SJU receives more rain in August/September than it does in February/March. But less rain than in November. Unless you get caught in a tropical system, rainfall may consist of brief, intense downpours followed quickly by the sun.

I went last year in late September and the weather was as the OP said.

It rained heavy for one afternoon, then got sunny.

Note, its pretty steamy that time of year, but still nice.

Its hurricane season in the Caribbean and often much moisture is in the air. Much weather info at www.weather.com
