Asiana Club - Bkk/icn 747

Will be on the OZ 747 from BKK to ICN on 10 August...seats 1K and 3A. I assume that those are standard first seats sold as business class. Is this correct?

Also, how is the service on this flight? Do they turn the lights on throughout the flight or do they let you sleep?

Yep, F seats sold as C. I am not sure about the service (particularly lighting, but since it's an overnight flight, I would assume that the lights will be off as my overnight OZ flight from HKG to ICN was kept dark except for meals).

FYI, ICN-BKK goes 333* or 777* starting September, I think (at least for September 8th, which I am on, is showing 333).

*333: Airbus 330-300 and 777: Boeing 777-200ER

Same as HKG-ICN and SIN-ICN. Lights off for most of flight.

It's C service (but the C service is very good!), with a lighter meal offered due to the late hour. You will probably be asked early on (pre-departure?) if you want the meal or if you want to go to sleep right away.

Actually, I find TG's new C seat quite ok. It is certainly not as steep as LH's C seat. The latest OZ C seat (777 only) is also quite good. Probably I would rate the OZ seat just a little bit better than the TG seat, but not by much. I find both acceptable. Service on OZ is great, but I find both airlines at the top of the range.
