Luckily my wife doesn't have Emerald Aisle yet ...

Except it's called "Rent Rent Reward" in Canada. Other than the name, I don't see any other differences in the T&Cs. Weird.

I'm about to book a week-long rental that ends Aug. 12 or 13. Does anyone know if this qualifies for the promotion, or does my rental have to begin on or after the 12th? Thx.

I think they e-mail out in batches in order of length of time as an Emerald Club member - I've been a member since 1990 and seem to get it quicker than most around here (usually I'm the one that posts the announcement of this promo but was beat by the OP this time) :)

I got mine by snail mail a couple days ago. Must not be signed up for the emails, will have to look into that.

Very interesting on the sequencing of the emails. Been a member for 18 months, so that would explain (I think) why I haven't seen anything yet!

I tried to sign up for this promo on the National home page, and also by the link provided by OP. I also tried on two different computers. Each time the computer crashed. What gives?
Also, I wonder what, if any, effect Enterprise buying National will have on this promo . . .

Just thinking through the free day scenario for referrals -- does the referral just need to sign up for the promo or do they need to sign up for Emerald Club? The t's and c's are not clear.

Also, I'm sure that the Enterprise purchase will have no impact on this promo.

I don't think so, unfortunately. I registered late into the promo last year and only got credits for rentals after registration.

I have had a few rentals and had my spouse sign up. I have yet to see any free days in my email. Last year I should have earned 2 free days and never got them. I am wondering if anyone has seen a free day email yet?

Thanks for everyone's interest in this promotion. To answer the above question, Free days will be sent via email 4-6 weeks after they are earned. The coupon is not valid until January, so you have plenty of time to use the days you earn. Thanks again for choosing National's Emerald Club.

How about for reservations made before you signed up, but the actual rental was for after you signed up? My read was that the reservations needed to be after the sign up. Any one have a different read of the T&C?
