Other Middle East and Africa Frequent Flyer Programs - Saudi Arabia Air Customer Service

What an unbelievable joke. All I want to do is change the time of my flight tomorrow. When I finally get to a "customer service" rep, and I tell them what I want to do, I am told "hold on one minute". Each time, after 20 minutes of dead air, I hang up and call back. This has happened three times in a row.
In the future, I will avoid this airline at all costs.
it's a cultural thing. i think it's their bedouin nature when chance meetings in the desert required time for tea/figs and discussion. meetings in the desert were rare and to be enjoyed. i've been in business minutes where upon sitting, it's common to sit, sip tea, eat biscuits and talk about all manner of things before actually getting to work. just to walk in and start on business is considered rude and certainly not done here.
there's no real rush for anything including customer service and on-time departures, Saudi Airlines has perhaps the worst track record in the industry.
joined Alfursan frequent flyer and flown over 30000 miles and to date, not one mile posted to my account,
calls, emails and general inquiries at their counter draw zero response.
here in the kingdom, crediting miles has to be the lowest priority.
period.
excuse me, gotta go, I've got a camel to feed.

Haha...Saudi-bashing! I don't think their cultural Bedouin attitude has anything to do with being put on hold for one hour and doing things at a leisured pace (after all, the employees are most likely foreigners, Egyptians and Indians). It's got to do with the fact that even if the 20 million residents in KSA refuse to fly Saudi Arabian ever again, the airline will continue to run, as they don't even NEED to make a profit or satisfy any non-royal customer. Hence, the 'screw you and your miles....next !' attitude.

Bedouin attitude has nothing to do with it. Most of the reps are third world nationals, earning a pitance of a salary and caring even less about customer service.
If you want to get anything done with Saudia you need to visit their offices. Even better to deal with a travel agent.

this is it, exactly.
if you're one of the thirty thousand royals or belong to one of the "right" tribes, it's carte blanche.
for the rest of us, it's "... 'screw you and your miles....next !' attitude."
