Hi

I was just in Europe and can see how it would help having a GPS instread of driving around aimlessly like I have for the last 20 years !

So is there a reasonable price GPS with USA and Europe maps ,
probably better if it "talks"

also would be nice to have Poland and Czech maps

Thanks for your help

I don't know about poland and chezh maps but I am currently using our new Garmin Nuvi 370 here in Ireland and loving it - it really is liberating not to have to stop or think or go around in circles to get where you want. I got it online a month ago for $499 all in. It includes North American and European maps and text to speech (ie it says the names of streets). Love it.

I use an iPAQ 6510 (which is a Pocket PC with GPS and quad-band GSM phone), and my maps come from Google Mobile Maps (http://google.com/gmm) on the fly over the GPRS link.

I might add that Michelin (the map and tire folks) also have navigation software on SD cards for my hardware and a few others here (http://tinyurl.com/2ztexj). The program has the Red Guide built in, and turn-by-turn audible instructions.

Not sure if you have a PDA of some sort but I use a BT GPS with an HP PDA and love the software from http://www.destinator1.com Their US and European maps have been fantastic.
