Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Dragon air lounge in HKG/TPE

I'm a silver member of MPC and will take a Dragon air flight from HKG to TPE.
How is a Dragon Air lounge in HKG, and Eva lounge in TPE?
or I can go to CX lounges in HKG?

KA lounge in HKG is fine. They have a nice selection of food, including noodles at their flagship lounge near gate 16. I find it a little more relaxing than the CX one sometimes as there are less people, and its more open.

Since you are a Silver member, you have to use the KA lounge when flying on KA operated flights.

I have been the KA lounge twice last month, and I think it was Okay. The facilities are too basic (perhaps I was spoiled by The Wing/The Pier). I didn't see any showers when I was there, and the bathrooms were quite worn down. And the noodle place closes at 6pm or something like that.

But I do agree the open design (unlike CX's many partioned walls) are more relaxing though.

As Diamond members can get to CX F lounges on KA marketed and operated flights, I do not know if Silver/Gold members are really limited to KA lounges. However, the KA lounge is good - very relaxing and good food. It is just a little far away for most flights, and if you need desks to do work, there are only a few desks.

now, I called the MPC and they said, I could choose CX or KA lounge by flying with KA operated.

then 3 choices, Pier, Wing, and KA lounge.
due to a transit, I have to stay at the HKG airport around 4hours.
The wing may be the best choice?

and if you have visited EVA lounge in TPE, also advise me how was that.

I'm not sure the MPC agent was correct. The Lounge access rules are clearly stated on the "Benefits" page of the MPC page on the CX website.

If I can go to the F lounge flying on KA marketed and operated flight, I tend to think that MPC Gold/Silver members can go to CX J lounges in a similar situation. I think that what is on CX web page is the minimum, and there is flexibility. It won't hurt trying out a CX lounge.

My preference is to go to a lounge close to the departure gate (or arrival gate for transit and the departure gate is not posted yet). CX lounges are better, but KA lounge is very good anyway.

well...DM accessing CX F lounge while taking KA is an official published benefit...while SL/GO accessing CX lounges are explicitly mentioned as available only when taking CX-operated flights - so these two aren't really fair comparison...

I was in TPE Eva Lounge 2 days ago. I'm afraid it was rather boring and nothing special. Sitting area is quite big but food was very average. Unable to get on Wifi with my limited computer technique. I think the CX lounage in the other terminal is 100% better.

The EVA lounge at TPE T2 is poor. The only lounge worse is the China Air lounge in T1. The best lounges in TPE are SQ in T2 and CX in T1 (WIFI works in both),

I like the Dragon Air lounge in HKG. It is very calm- has good food- and extremely polite attendants. It is certainly not flashy etc, but you can get some work done, I have never found it crowded, and of course you can use the free wifi of HKG.
