US Airways Dividend Miles - Close-In Ticketing Fee/Elite Fees? Confused.

I am a littel confused.

The web site says there is a $75 fee for ticketing an award within 14 days but it says you can avoid it by using the Web:

You can book award travel online anywhere US Airways flies. There are no fees and you can make reservations up to six hours prior to departure, all with the convenience of e-ticketing.

Or, you can call our 24-hour Reservations Desk to make or change an award reservation as little as three hours prior to departure. Service fees apply*. A quick ticketing fee of $75 will apply to all award reservations booked with 14 days of travel through our reservations center.

However, a Star award is not bookable on the web. So, I guess:

- a last minute award for a non-elite has a $75+$15 fee?
- the $15 is waived for all elites? (I thought I heard that a while back?)
- the $75 is waived only for Chairman?
- a US award has no clsoe-in ticketing fee if booked on the web?

Thanks.

I am asking because I might need a last minute ticket on UA.

Correct. If you are non-elite and can't book the ticket on the US website the fees apply.

Fees do not apply to CP members....All other elites pay the fees....I had to do it yesterday on a domestic Star award on UA
