Virgin Atlantic Flying Club - EWR 002 check-in opening?

Hey,
Flying VS for the first time out of EWR. What time does their check-in open, and is it done by dedicated agents or by another airline? The reason I ask the latter is so I know whether it would make a difference to get there early and spend time relaxing rather than sitting in line checking in.
What flight are you taking?
