OK, first, a disclaimer: I have not listened to these headphones, so they may suck. However, the features were quite impressive for the money. These are Sharper Image branded headphones; I don't know who manufactures them. They're on clearance, marked down to US$70. Here's the link:

They seem to be at some stores, as well as on the web.
They're over-the-ear style that fold flat (a la QC2). They come with a QC2-esque carrying case, though it's a bit bigger than the QC2 case. They require 2xAA batteries, which to me is preferred over proprietary batteries. And, they have a detachable cord, which is a requirement IMHO. I've noticed that only "nicer" NC headphones seem to have detachable cords. There isn't much in the sub-$100 range with a detachable cord.
Hope this helps anyone on the market for new headphones, or alternatives to the QC2 or QC3s. ^
