Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Various booking systems - which one does CX/BA/VS use?

Can someone please educate me and explain when should the following sites be used for checking itineraries? Sometimes I am given a booking reference (PNR?) by a travel agent and one of the following sites. What are the differences between them?

Checkmytrip.com
Viewtrip.com
Mytripandmore.com
Virtuallythere.com

I'm particularly interested to know which one I should use to check CX/BA/VS flights.

Also, I understand the airline's reference code is sometimes different to the one given to me by the agent? Which one do I need to use the sites above?

Thanks for the help in advance!!!

For me, my TA releases the information for me for final review. I click on the link to get to the booking page.

I think whoever books your flights has to release the information to you.

The real question is: which GDS does your travel agent use? :confused: You will need to use the same GDS to access your booking. The GDS used by your TA may or may not be the same as the one used by CX/BA/VS. You will need to ask your TA for this information.

....Also, I understand the airline's reference code is sometimes different to the one given to me by the agent? Which one do I need to use the sites above?....

This is a sure sign that your TA uses a different GDS than the airlines. You could use BA code on checkmytrip.com (Amadeus). You cannot use CX code at all as CX uses an internal system. Not sure about VS. Usually, the best way is to use the same GDS as your TA using the TA code, not the airlines'.

The GDS used are:

Checkmytrip.com -> Amadeus
Viewtrip.com -> Galileo
Mytripandmore.com -> Worldspan
Virtuallythere.com -> Sabre

I think I have finally sussed it out with the hints above.

Our travel agent uses several booking systems. Namely the ones mentioned by TerryK. The booking reference is only usable on the corresponding site which they don't always send me, since they realise most of us just want the reference number, ticket number and iten sent to our blackberry, not some link that can't be open on a handheld.

Thanks for the help guys.
