I stayed at the Guadalajara Hilton last year while on a mileage run. The hotel is fairly new I believe. I was upgraded to the Executive floor (was HH Gold at the time). The executive floor rooms are very nice, but didn't see the normal rooms for a comparison. The Executive floor lounge is a good size and had an OK selection of cereals, yogurts and cheeses/coldcuts for breakfast. There is a view out over the trade/conference center next door. The hotel is a bit far out from downtown.. it's a good walk or quick taxi ride.

I haven't seen anything more recent on the Guadalajara Hilton, so I'm bumping this old thread to provide information about a recent stay. My wife and I had a delightful stay at the Guadalajara Hilton for four nights this past weekend (June 29 - July 3.) I'm a Hilton Diamond and we were upgraded to the 18th floor and given access to the Executive Lounge. On the elevator the Executive Floors are marked as 19 & 20, but our room on the 18th floor seemed to have "Executive Floor" amenities (bathrobes, free water bottles, nicely decorated.) Two floors were marked on the elevator as "Hilton HHonors" floors, and two were marked as "Club" floors. I didn't visit any of them so I'm not sure how they were different from the executive floors.
My flight arrived in Guadalajara at 5:30 a.m. Friday morning. I got to the hotel around 6:30 a.m. and asked at the desk about a place to store my luggage until I could check in later that afternoon. The desk clerk (all spoke English, by the way), looked at the computer and said my room was ready if I wanted to check in early, a very nice offer on the part of the hotel!
The Executive Lounge had free breakfast from 7 - 10 a.m., seven days a week, and it was one of the nicest breakfast buffets I've seen in an executive lounge. There were always at least 2 or 3 kinds of eggs, crepes, several Mexican breakfast items, waffles, at least 6 or 7 different kinds of very fresh fruit, fresh orange and grapefruit juice, a dozen different kinds of breads and fresh pastries, and half a dozen cold cereals. An attendant brought toast, fresh coffee, and two bottles of chilled water.
From 6 -9 in the evening the lounge had light snacks (finger food appetizers), small cakes, cookies, coffee, tea, and red and white wine. The Executive Lounge was staffed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a person who could do check-in and check-out, and was available for other sorts of problem-solving (like getting us extra water and wash cloths when the maid forgot to leave them one day.)
The first day the on-duty manager sought us out and asked if there was anything she could do to help make our stay more enjoyable. A maid brought chocolate to our room each evening. Every staff member we encountered went out of their way to be helpful.
The Guadalajara Hilton is in the Expo Center, about 15 - 20 minutes from the center of the city. A taxi to downtown cost around 80 Pesos (about $8 USD), to the airport was 190 Pesos (about $19 USD.) There's not much out by the Hilton in terms of places to eat and see unless you're attending a trade show at the Expo Center, although there is a new Starbucks about 4 blocks away.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this Hilton again in the future.

I felt like I should provide an update on this hotel since I stay pretty regularly for 2+ weeks at a time. The service and staff is generally very friendly. I am a gold and 2/3 times have been given access to the executive lounge (the latest time I had to ask about where to eat breakfast to prompt them to tell me I had access to the executive lounge).
The club level and executive lounge are almost identical in terms of benefits, expect that in the executive lounge the breakfast is more like a full breakfast than a continental. Otherwise, they are the same; actually I found that the Club Lounge left food and drinks out all day for guests whereas the executive lounge does not leave anything out for guests except during the regular breakfast/happy hour times.
HOWEVER, the one horrible thing about this hotel is the internet access. The wireless is pathetic! I can rarely get a good signal. I went so far as to buy a high powered wireless card for my laptop that is able to get a good singal when I plug in an external antenna. Honestly, there is no excuse for this, and I plan on writing Hilton to complain.
Besides the internet access, this is a great hotel that most of the time does a great job. Most of the staff speaks english, so no worries there.
