Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Award waitlists don't automatically clear
So I have been waitlisting this upgrade award since last month. Today I logged on to use the CX.com award availability tool. I saw availability for the flight that I originially waitlisted, but when I opened up "Retrieve your booking". The segment was still showing up as "On Request". I called up MPO to ask them to clear the upgrade.
Is this a bug in CX's system? :td:

Not only award inventory. It happens on other revenue tickets also!
Sometimes when I have seen availability online, and then called MPO to get the upgrade, they don't see it. They tell me if I proceeded to get the upgrade online it would fail at a later stage.

If CX can fix these bugs, there will be fewer calls to Asia Miles, MPC or CX reservation. That may solve the call holding time problems that many have been complaining.
