I didn't have my FF# with me when flying on my flight a few days ago. I went to do the retrocredit on Etihad's website. I was impressed that the system is actually linked to the reservations system. You enter in your reservation code and ticket number. It is able to verify and credit. No manual intervention required.

Not sure I have seen that anywhere else.
