Hi all,
Just a quick question regarding the underlying ticket on a Y to J upgrade award for JFK-HKG. I know that M class is one of the classes that earns AM so they should be upgradeable for award purposes. But when I look at the fares on Expedia or Travelocity, they are showing a M class "special fare" and then the terms and conditions says that the fare does not earn frequent flyer miles. Does it mean that it's not upgradeable?
Also, are consolidators really the best choice to book the tickets rather than using Expedia or Travelocity?
Thanks.
