Thank you all for your welcome. :) I shall try to ignore all the extra buttons that now adorn everything in this forum as much as possible and contribute as usual. Relatively speaking the M&M forum is pretty timid, so I'm happy to be a member of a family with a new hat. :D

I thank SanDiego1K for opening this topic which is about a new moderator. While I have no qualms about oliver2002, I do begin to grow wary of what appears to be an ever-growing Army of Moderators.

But the number of member is even faster "ever-growing" than the number of moderators. Given that Mods have a personal life and cannot spend 24/7 on FT, it is necessary to have several Mods, even better as in this forum when they are in different time zones, so that there's a full coverage.

Yup. Traffic is growing by leaps and bounds and I found I didn't have enough time (or in the right time zone) to adequately monitor the M&M forum. For the past year or two until recently, the M&M forum was the only major airline forum on FT that did not have a moderator based near the "home" time zone. It is a really good reflection on the forum members that we've been able to cope for so long.

With totti and now oliver2002 on the team, the M&M lounge thread is possible. Just another way we try to make FT better for you all.
