Hyatt Summerfield Suites Has 10 new Build Hotels
Under Construction Across the Country.
CHICAGO - June 27, 2007 - Hyatt’s new upscale all-suite/extended-stay brand, Hyatt Summerfield Suites®, today announced its 2007 year-to-date development results with 10 new build hotels across the country. These new projects will join the 30 Hyatt Summerfield Suites hotels that are and will be operating by year-end 2007.
“We realize our guests have a broader meaning to the word home than their house, it also encompasses the community in which they live,” said Chris Ivy, senior vice president of development for Hyatt Summerfield Suites and Hyatt Place™. “This fact, combined with our research results, led us to approach the design of our guest suites and public spaces from a residential perspective, ensuring Hyatt Summerfield Suites reflects all the contemporary conveniences of our guests’ everyday life.”
The following new-build Hyatt Summerfield Suites hotels are scheduled to open in 2008 throughout the U.S.:
North
Buffalo/Amherst, NY – appropriately located on Sweet Home Rd., this 130-suite hotel scheduled to open in Winter 2008
Rochester, NY – located at 550 E. Avenue, this 156-suite hotel is scheduled to open Winter 2008
Windsor, CT – scheduled to open in Winter 2008, this 132-suite hotel is located at I-95 and Day Hill Road
Woodridge, IL – located at 3530 Irving Place, this 141-suite hotel is scheduled to open Winter 2008
South
Dania Beach, FL – this 143-suite hotel is located at I-95 and Stirling Road and scheduled to open Spring 2009
East
Norfolk/Downtown, VA – this 126-suite hotel is scheduled to open Spring 2008 and located at 201 Riverview Ave.
West
Rancho Cucamonga, CA – located at 6th St. and Haven Ave., this 120-suite hotel is scheduled to open Spring 2009
Phoenix/Tempe, AZ – scheduled to open Spring 2009, this 131-suite hotel is located at the Priest Dr. and Commerce Blvd.
Phoenix/Avondale, AZ – located just off I-10 at McDowell Rd., this 125-suite hotel is scheduled to open in Winter 2008
Salt Lake City/Sandy, UT – just outside Salt Lake City, this 125-suite hotel is scheduled to open in Spring 2008
Hyatt Summerfield Suites prototype, conversion and existing hotels will offer a mix of spacious studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom guest suites focused on comfort and style. Every guest suite will feature a full kitchen, but has been specially redesigned to flow into the living area, allowing guests to enjoy a continuous brightly lit, open space. In the living area, guests will find a 32-inch flat-panel, high definition television featuring high-definition programming in addition to an already impressive channel lineup. Guests can choose to watch television while stretched out on the Cozy Corner, a stylish, comfortable sectional sofa that can serve as both a work and relaxation area. An oversized desk and ergonomic chair, vibrant artwork and warm lighting complete the comfortable atmosphere. Bedrooms will also now offer the plush Hyatt Grand Bed™.
The public space will also feature a warm, contemporary look, designed to provide the comfort and sociability of a neighborhood. There is a lounge area that provides den-style seating areas, as well as larger spaces for groups of all sizes. Here, guests will find the enhanced complimentary full breakfast buffet, offered daily, as well as an Evening Social, which takes place nightly Monday through Thursday. The Guest Market will also offer a variety of easy-to-prepare items, and guests can also take advantage of grocery shopping services.
Hyatt Summerfield Suites will also take everyday comforts to the next level, offering an Internet café with two public computers and a printer, a fitness center featuring state-of-the-art LifeFitness® cardio machines with personal television screens built into each piece of equipment, indoor or outdoor pool, complimentary grill for guest use and laundry services.
