Do some of these people ever bother to CHECK if something is prohibited??? I mean, does it ever cross their minds that explosive fireworks MIGHT be frowned upon by TSA???
As for TSA, If they spent more time educating travelers (instead of worrying about shoes and baggies) stuff like this could be prevented.

Glad the FAA is on to this clearly terroristic movement.... Why hasn't TSA jumped in yet?

in reading the title of this thread, i thought to myself "d'oh", but now i can't wait to hear the stories as to how the screeners and the screening process missed fireworks both in carry- and checked luggage

What would that make me?:D Whenever I get the swab test done on my laptop or carry on bag I always prep them by showing them my business card and warn them that they may get a hit. I ask them not to freak out as it may just be a trace of powder picked up from my workplace. I never have set the machine off though and I'm thru airports every week.

Fortunately, I only have to drive an hour if I want fireworks.
Taking them on a plane? What morons.
