Okay, it's not an exact quote but that's the gist of this tale of a Cessna versus sports car crash. Might be the only plane/car incident wherein the car was worth more than the plane:

Hate to nitpick, but, where'd you get 80 from?

That would make him about 68 last spring.

It was an exaggeration of sorts. For some reason I was thinking the story said he bought it in 1988. That would've made him 78. My bad. Still a shame about the car.....

A Countach? what, are you 14 or something? I think that's one of the most uncomfortable cars around - and n ot a great drive. Black - mate, that's half the problem!

At least the guy probably has a younger, trophy wife, in whose bosom he can cry about his wrecked car. Too bad he couldn't avoid it. Is the wreck now a crime scene?

Agreed, truly a shame that a car like that would meet such an end. And totally like something you'd expect to see on HBO.
