American Express Membership Rewards - NWA Lounge Access Question
I booked a flight from LAX to YVR through NWA. The confirmation says "Operated by Alaska Airlines" and I have to check-in with Alaska. Does this mean I won't have access to NWA's lounge at LAX with my Platinum card?
Sorry for the stupid question.

Not stupid at all. Unfortunately the OPERATING carrier is what is key, so correct, you will not have access to NW's lounge. I am not even sure if Alaska and NW are in the same terminal anyway, but if so, it still would not work. Sorry.

NW is in 2 and Alaska in 3. You won't be missing much though :p
Thanks guys. Oh well, you live and learn.

Thats correct. You must be flying the airline that operates the club.

I've never actually done this as I fly NWA almost exclusively from my home town, however, though they're supposed to verify your boarding pass, frequently they do not.

Does the Hilton Hhonors Plat Amex count as a Plat card for purposes of getting in the NWA lounge?

When flying a continental express operated flight, does the AMEX Plat card gain one access to the President's club or is it only for mainline CO flights?
Thanks.

CO and CO Express are the same. There is no problem geting into the president's club. In fact, I have flown NWA with a NWA boarding pass and was let into the CO club with no problem.
One think you have to keep in mind - every time you use the club, Amex gets charged... so the club may let you in just becuase they want the money!

It gets you access for any CO flight, so yes, you can get in.
