Is it me or has Amex Platinum's travel service gone down hill lately? I've been trying to call them now for a few days - first I am told they now only work 8am - 7pm. I've since tried to call them during lunchtime and I get a constant engaged tone on their line! I wonder what I'll do when it comes to renewal time?
Has anyone else experienced such poor service in the UK?

I have an ICC card, but with service through the UK. It can sometimes be a considerable wait before you get to talk with someone, depending on the time of day. I have yet to get an engaged tone, but certainly usually have to join a queue.

There are some advantages to being in a small market, I suppose.
The Finnish Platinum Travel/Concierge service has always answered by the second ring; no queues and no answering machines...
Cheers,
